Task 2 - Research

Task 2 - Research Overview of Factual Programme My idea is based around domestic abuse against women. In this documentary i will be re-enacting scenes that our interviewee is talking about. The idea came from Emily's mum. This is because, Emily's mum when she was younger experienced a form of domestic abuse. This meant that, we used her previous experience to re-enact and make an awareness documentary to benefit women who may experience this station later on in life or previously have. At the end of the production i am going to use Melissa voice to talk about a hotline that can help and include some statistics of people who have been through this.

Task 3 - Interview 1

Interview 1 Lauren -- Student of Domestic Abuse Purpose: I used Lauren as our actor to re-enact the story telling of Emily's Mother. This is because, emily mum did not want to be on the camera or go through that story again so we asked her to write it down then decided to find someone who would willingly play this part. I think this worked well, this is because Lauren is a very pretty young girl, this means that when airing the programme and people seeing how fragile and young she is they may feel more sympathetic and listen harder due to the story she is telling. I think that this would be platformed on television as its to spread awareness of what does happen and how painful it can be for the victim for the rest of there life. The interview itself could be put into newspapers or magazines, anywhere that could raise awareness for young and older people who go through some form of domestic violence, male or female. Interview Techniques Interview Styling Interviews have all different styles in which they are presented depending on the topic they could be for entertainment purposes. Hard News Combative Light-Hearted Entertainment Investigative Promotional Hard News Interview: An example of hard news would be most news reports on at night. This is known as hard news as its the important news, this is because it is the one that consist of all the information and facts about recent events which are usually negative and including tragedies and/or death. For example the BBC, ITV and CHANNEL 4. A hard news reports purpose is a longer detailed story on television to expose any events, people or topics. This is designed to inform the reader. They all have a particle structure, short and snappy sentence structure, enthusiasm in there voice, each paragraphs develops a thought or opinion before moving on to the next, never includes certain grammar ("I", "we").
